Help and User Guide

Everything you need to style text like a pro, in four simple steps.

This guide walks you through Fontszilla from your first word to a finished, styled result. The tool gives you two kinds of output: copy-and-paste text styles (great for bios, usernames and chats) and downloadable images and GIFs (great for logos, thumbnails and posts). It takes about a minute to learn and works the same on a phone or a computer.

Step 1: Type your text

STEP 1 · Type your textFontszillaThe live preview updates as you type.
Type or paste your words and the preview updates on every keystroke

Start in the text box near the top of any page. Type a word, a name or a short phrase, or paste text you already have. As you type, the large preview in the studio updates instantly, so you see your text take shape in real time. Shorter text looks sharpest in the heavier, more decorated styles, so a name or a handle is a great place to begin.

Step 2: Choose a style

STEP 2 · Choose a styleChoose a font ▾FontszillaCursiveUseCopy
Pick a style from the menu, or tap “Use” on any style in the list below

Pick a look in one of two ways: open the style menu at the top of the studio, or scroll the list of styles below and tap Use on any one to load it into the studio. On a style‑specific page, such as the cursive or gothic generator, every option is a variation of that look. On the homepage you get a broad mix across many families at once.

Step 3: Style it in the studio

STEP 3 · Style itColorBackgroundIconAnimationAdjustFontszilla
The studio tabs let you set colours, a background, an icon, animation and size

With a style chosen, use the studio tabs to make it yours. Color sets a solid colour, a two‑colour gradient or a multicolour palette. Background adds a solid or gradient backdrop. Icon drops in an emoji or symbol. Animation makes the text pulse, bounce, glow and more. Adjust changes the size, letter spacing and rotation. Every change shows in the preview straight away.

Step 4: Copy or download

STEP 4 · ExportDownload PNGDownload GIFCopy imageCopy textSaved to your device
Save a PNG or animated GIF, copy the image, or copy the text on style pages

Open the Download tab when you are happy with the result. On text‑style pages such as bold, cursive or zalgo, tap Copy text to put the styled characters on your clipboard and paste them anywhere. On every page you can also Download PNG for a still image, Download GIF to keep an animation moving, or Copy image to paste the picture into another app. Game, brand and aesthetic looks use real fonts, so they are saved as images rather than copied as text.

For a quick copy, you can also tap the copy button on any style in the list, or tap the preview itself — on text‑style pages that copies the text, and on font pages it downloads the image.

Save the looks you love

TIP · Save favoritesCURSIVEFonts
Tap the star to pin a style to your favorites

Tap the star on the studio or on any style in the list to add it to your favorites. Your picks are saved in your own browser, so they load again the next time you visit and appear in a “Your favorites” section at the top of the list. Tap the star again to remove one.

Tips for the best results

Keep your most important words in plain text too, so search tools and screen readers can read them. Preview the result before you post, since a few apps draw certain characters their own way. Lean on one strong styled line rather than styling a whole paragraph — it reads cleaner and feels more deliberate. And remember that a GIF needs an animation selected first, otherwise there is nothing to animate.

If you ever get stuck or spot a style that looks wrong in an app, email us at hello@fontszilla.com or use the contact form. We read every message.
